Hello all,
I'm trying to figure out how to create a "partial" broken-out section. The way I am needing to use this is I have an opening for a guard that a shaft protrudes through that are on the same centerline. Within this broken out section, I need to be able to show the diameter of this opening as well as the depth to which the shaft is covered by the guard. But I need to keep the shaft intact as there is a key in the shaft that would "disappear" should I section through to the center of the shaft.
Ideally I would like to have this broken out section at the depth of the centerline of both the opening and shaft; however, I would like to exclude the shaft from being included in what is being sectioned in the assembly drawing. Is this possible?
I'm using SolidWorks 2013.
Thanks!
