Hi,

So I copied a file into another folder.  Let's say I copy AAA111 into another folder.  I then change the file name, open this copied part, edit it, and change the properties to reflect that this should now be called BBB222 and change the description to something else.  There should now be no association within this new file with AAA111 - it should be its own, completely independent part - right?  Now I use this new part and make an assembly.  In the drawing of that assembly, if I create a BOM, the part is listed as AAA111!!!!  And it's only the part number - the description reflects the change I made.  How can I make the completely disassociate the copied part from the part it was copied from?  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks in advance.
