When you hover over surfaces in Solidworks it outlines it orange. This is taking a long time on my computer (you can actually see it trace it out curve by curve) even for relatively simple shapes such as squares.

I am running Solidworks Student Design Kit 2013-2014.

Using Surface Pro with 128GB

Windows 8.1

Looking at task manage I see a CPU spike everytime I hover over a surface (15% CPU utilisation just for Solidworks). Other than this the rest of the progrmas runs quite smoothly.

I had this before but I manage to fix it (by reinstalling I think.... a fair while ago) but recently the program came back (perhaps due to 8.1 update). Reinstalling solidworks hasn't helped this time.

Does anyone else experience this problem? Any potential fixes?
