First off I am a design engineer for a small manufacturing company that primarily uses Solid Works. Currently when I want to view a drawing in our system I have to use the open command and then locate the folder that the drawing I need is in, and then open it manually. I would like a macro that allows me to simply type a unique drawing number in, and then the system automatically opens it for me. Our drawings are all given a unique 8 digit drawing number and saved in a production.dwg folder. Surely there is a simple program that will open directly from a predetermined folder location? I can provide more information if necessery.
