Hi Guys
I am having a little difficulty Simulating this
The Cam has a Offset Shaft that "Throws" the Jaw its attached to so when the shaft pivots the Jaw moves. The offset of the internal Jaw is 25"
The figre below shows the assembly
The shaft spins and the the Blue Mechanism " Pillow Block" is attached to a Plate( Jaw ) which moves Up and Down. There are two jaws one of them is fixed ( Left one)
How do calculate the distance of the Gap.
I need the Maximum distance the pate can travel. What type of motion simulations can i apply so that the whole assembly shows motions like the offset cam motion along with it the plate/Jaw motion and the pivot Motion of the Pivot Mechanism at the bottom right exreme
i am attaching the assembly Please review
Thank You for Reading
UPDATES::
I tried a Motion Study with Random RPMS; for the motor Rotaion ( I do not have the Exact Calculations Yet) The Crushing Jaws Barely Moves and the Shaft does only a SIngle Rotation , The shaft is suppose to move a Cam that is Offset which turns the Pillow Block ( The Huge Blue Thing ) that moves the Plate( Jaw) in kind of an Occilating Form
