Note that Smart and Standard trailing zero options have been removed...

All,

I know with everything else going on for this release of 2018, it's hard to catch some enhancements deep in the product.  There's one that I'd like you to check out separately form the weekly focus.  At some point in the past, Standard and Smart were added to perform some very specific tasks in the control of trailing zeroes in dimensions.  However, as these were added, they changed the function of Trailing Zeroes setting.  Originally, Trailing Zeroes setting only controlled the nominal value of a dimension, not the tolerances.  However, Smart controls only the tolerances and not the nominal value.  The problem is that Smart was mutually exclusive to the other settings, so you'd only get one behavior for both tolerances and nominal values, or you'd get another behavior that only controlled the nominal value.  Anyway, we've fixed this in SW18 by providing specific controls that apply to just the nominal value and just the tolerance to give you full control over the appearance of your dimensions.

Instead of Smart, we have a new setting called Remove when zero, which replicates the Smart setting, but allows you to specify the behavior of your tolerances  in addition to controlling the nominal trailing zeros.

Instead of Standard (which is redundant to selection of the settings that match the current standard), we have defaults set correctly for each standard which you can use or modify as you need.

Please try out these new/changed settings.  It's not only important to see if the new behavior is useful, but also to make sure your current drawings still display dimensions as you originally set them when opened in SW18.  Thank you!
