Hi, I'm trying to learn solidworks 2012. I had a base mount for a
USB to wireless adapter at my desk, so I decided to try and
draw it as an introduction. Please see the image, it shows the
top side and bottom side.
I’ve been able to make the general outline and use “shell” to hollow
out the middle. The problem I’ve run into is the cable relief area, shown
as the red arrows in the image.
I’ve sketched a rectangle and then used a blind extrude to create the
outline of the cable relief, but when I use the shell command, it goes
around the cable relief area. How can I get the shell to slice through
the cable relief area and make it look more like the above image?
