Not quite sure how to articulate the question so please refer to attached file.

I am attempting to conform an extruded surface (banner) to a loft (heart). The banner edges extend past the heart sketch which seems an issue. Ultimately I'd like the banner to look as if it floats above heart but can be a merged element.

Any assist will be most appreciated.
