I am not in any way a pro at solidworks, but I do get along just fine and have no problems modeling parts as long as they are simetrycal or close to being symetrical.

Now I am trying to model a safety valve that uses a cast body....something in the line of this:

The problem is I dont know how to start. Do I start it in normal pard modeling or go the mold way or something else?

What would be your advice? How to make the holes (way for the medium to flow) in the body and the asimetryc body itself?
