Need help on videocard

Hi i have a big problem and need help, please give me some good feedback im on the edge of having a breakdown.

What i wanted:

i have a FX3400 videocard which needs replacement for various reasons, i only use solidworks on this home computer for viewing and editing small parts, so i wanted a cheap solution.

Before getting a new card i did some asking around about what videocard to get with the same skills as my old FX3400. A chrome surface for example looks like a real mirror on my FX3400 card, and just looks plain grey without a videocard. Real chrome and real glass is what i want.

So i asked around what features or spec's my new card had to have to get this job done. Almost all replays said: get a card which supports the OpenGL version of what solidworks requires and you will be fine, so i got a HD 6770. payed 100 bucks and put the thing in my motherboard.. and what did i get???... GREY FAKE CHROME.

So am i doing something wrong with the videocard settings?

I am thinking about sending back the 6770 card but then what? i cant spend 1500 bucks on a new FX card for having a homepc displaying real chrome.

I am really dissapointed right now and i don't know what to do to get a cheap videocard solution for my chrome!
