We make hotel furniture. I need help loading raw materials (sheets of plywood) so when I make a BOM it tells me what material I'm using and how much is needed. An example of a material is a 4' x 8' sheet of plywood. I would need to know how many sheets it takes to make a part. Example. 4' x 8' sheet is 32 sq ft. A part is 19-1/2" x 10-3/4" which is 1.46 sq ft. With about 10% scrap factor it will take about .06 sheets to cut one part. How can I get this equation into a BOM?
