Got a new computer at work to run solidworks, but Solidworks is running painfully slow, it seems to be fine when rotating a part or just looking at it, but if i hover over the name of any part in the designtree, which should cause an instantaneous highlighting of that said part/mate, but now if i hover over a part it takes at least 5 seconds for the program to 'draw' the highlight. I imported a downloaded screw into my assembly, holllllllllllyyy, everytime I went to make any kind of move that involved the screw it would take 20seconds for the highlighting to draw all the outside edge, 20 seconds to draw the inside edge, and another 20 seconds to highlight whatever was left. I hover over a simple coincident mate between two rectangles? 10 seconds to draw the orange and purple highlights just informing me where it is on the part, let alone changing it. Is this a software problem I can fix or do I just need a more powerful processor ?
