I have a simple part that will be marked with a reference designation (e.g. - A1, A2, A3...)  I need the part to show up in the BOM as a single line with a quantity.

I have learned that if I create a number of configurations with the ref des as a cut feature, the BOM will have 10 individual parts.  I believe that the answer is display states.  Each difference ref des number has it's own display state.

If this is true..., what is the easiest way to add a number of ref des markings to the part?
