Hi,
Nearly all the parts I create are sheet metal parts most of which are the same thickness and have the same bend parameters. I work mainly in context so I use the same default template all the time.
I don’t want to use multi body parts because the way I see it one body equals one part which means one part name/number in one file and the manufacturing side of my system can not handle multi body parts anyway. So i don't mind turning the function off.
In Solidworks 2009 I set up a template which contained the sheet-metal tree entry containing the thickness and parameters and some part properties.
Now when I use this template instead of picking up these details and using them it inserts a second sheet-metal body with its own sets of parameters which isn’t what I want and it stop my export to manufacturing software process from working.
Does anyone know how to either:
Disable multi body parts so my template works correctly again (how it does in 2009)?
Or
Set the default parameters of a sheet metal part so that it doesn’t use the last used parameters?
Or
Any other feasible work round?
Thanks,
Michael
