I have a part which requires 2 configurations. The only difference between the two is in the dimensions of single extrusion. One configuration requires a 15 degree tilt to the right, the other a 15 degree tilt to the left. I have read through and followed the solidworks help files. Here is what it says:
From the solidworks help files:
- Double-click the dimension, change the value in the Modify box, and select one of the following (these options are only available if there is more than one configuration in the model):
When you select This Configuration, the changes you make to the model are reflected in the current configuration only.
I have done this but any change I make to the angular dimension is reflected in both configurations (whether I change the value, suppress it, delete it, etc.) I also tried having two dimensions (one for each direction of tilt) and supressing whichever one I didn't want for each configuration. The result of that was they were fighting eachother and over defining the sketch.
Am I missing something here? I feel like there must be a way to do this. Thanks for any help.
