Is there a way to modify annotation views after you created them? I often have strangely shaped parts that are off-axis so I add annotation views in order to make drawings easier. However, I cannot seem to modify a view once I create it.
This is especially frustrating because I will create a view, put some annotations/GD&T tolerances on a certain view, finish designing the part, then go to create a drawing only to realize the "Front" view I really created is actually the "Back" of the part. It'd be easy if I could modify the view and select something called "reverse direction" so that everything works out, but I can't.
For example, it's not uncommon to have a part with a flat bottom, and a profiled top. If I select the bottom surface as the annotation view, the part will import into the drawing showing the bottom of the part, but all the annotations that describe features on the top will show up on that view. I tried selecting "flip direction" under the reference surface field when I created the view, but it doesn't seem to change anything. Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks for your help guys.
