Hi everyone.

I am having some difficulties generating this model, and I am becoming very overwhelmed. It appears as if there are a lot of options on how I could approach this, but the simplest appears to be using a combination of lofts of some form or another.  I started going down this road, and I'm running into wall after wall. I think I'm what's at the root of my problem is a fundamental misunderstanding on the workflow I should be utilizing to create this shape. 3D modeling isn't something I've got much experience with, I'm mostly an electronics guy, so hopefully y'all can help point me down the right path.

I'll attach the file and a screen shot, but at it's simplest I'm trying to create something akin to what looks like a handheld temperature sensor. I plan on drawing a sensor pocket into it, and then 3D printing this to give myself a way to use this sensor I'm designing.

Hopefully someone here can take a quick look at this and tell me what I'm doing wrong. I don't have any lofts in here at the moment, as I just can't seem to get them to 'work' and look correct. Hopefully the sketches I have in here will give y'all a good idea of what I am trying to achieve.
