This behavior is rather inconsistent, but it is enough of an issue that I am asking about it here.

There is a distinct difference in the alignment behavior between Smart Dimensions and Model Dimensions (dimensions that have been set to "marked for drawing"). Smart Dimensions always align with eachother, while Model Items only sometimes align. It is rather frustrating and my attempts to rectify it through changes in the settings have been unsuccessful.

Any help would be much appreciated.
