Is it possible to have a model like a plastic tube and create a shape on it by pressing or forcing another shape into it? From a manufacturing stand point we are going to take this tube and press a round pin against the side wall and thermo set the shape. What I want to do is model the resulting shape and I don’t know how to go about modeling this type of situation. I have attached the model of the tip and a sketch line approximating the angle of influence the pin dia will be about .080. We are going to press the side wall together with a piece of .025 Teflon in between the walls so the final model will have a .025 gap after formed with the pin.
