Newbie question:

After suppressing a feature with external reference to another part, I am receiving

missing external reference error.

Aren't all the references suppressed when I suppress a feature?

Attached file is a test file. In Without Holes configuration the holes in both components are suppressed.

But part 02 shows missing external reference error.

Well if the feature is suppressed, why it's references are not suppressed?

Is it normal?

if yes, how can I suppress a feature with external references in solidworks.

OR in other words:

what's the correct way to suppress a feature that has external references?
