I have been working on designing a plastic housing which holds a fan, lens, circuit boards, cable assemblies, etc. I used external references in the master assembly to position the components. ie: if I moved the fan up, down or angled it, the fan supports in the housing would move along with it instead of editing the sketches in the housing part file. Now that the design is stable and we're getting ready to send the part to our injection molding guys I am going through and removing the external references so we can send them the housing part file and not the entire assembly.
I went through the part and wherever I saw -> I went and manually removed the external references in the sketch, feature, or sketch plane. I also do not have any equations in the part. When I go to File - Find References however, it lists the assembly as a reference. When I go to the SW Explorer it lists the assembly as an in-context reference. I went through the assembly and turned on "show update holders" and no icons came up. I'm using SW 2011 x64 Edition SP02 on XP SP2
I really need to remove this reference but I can't see where it is or how to find out where it is. Here is a picture of the Find References window
Any help would be appreciated
