Missing diagnostic error message

My diagnostic error messages have all gone missing somehow. It's very frustrating.

Normally, if I try to create a self intersecting sweep, or something with zero thickness geometry, I get a warning explaining this (E.G. "Feature would result in zero thickness geometry") in a small speech bubble, and it won't let me exit the feature. Somehow, the error message is gone. I get no indication of why a feature isn't building. I click the check mark, get a wait wheel for about half a second, and then... nothing. I'm just still in the feature. No message, nothing. it's like the click doesn't even register (except, I know it is, because the cursor changes briefly). I can't find anywhere in the documentation that indicates that these error messages can be turned off, much less how to turn them back on.

I have tried restarting solidworks, and the computer. I've toggled the feature works addin. They are just gone. This is really annoying and makes it difficult to troubleshoot even the simplest errors.

Please help.

Thanks,
