I am curious as to your thoughts on whether or not it is acceptable to use a statement like "THIS IS RIGHT SIDE PART, MIRRORED LEFT SIDE PART IS ALSO REQUIRED" on a drawing for mirrored parts. It could be any part, but in this case, I am thinking of a complex part that has a huge number of dimensions and annotation. In my former work there were guys that thought it was fine to do this, as it meant that one could get away without the extra work involved in creating the mirrored drawing. I typically made both drawings and dimensioned as needed, but I am working on something that I would like to avoid the time it would take to make the mirrored drawing. It is not critical in my case, but I was wondering what the general consensus is on this aspect of CAD drawings. Is this acceptable or is it a No-No?
