Sorry to ask about mirror - there's lots of threads here already, but I'm not sure if I'm missing something. Can you mirror parts/assemblies with opposite hand versions AND reference geometry (axes, planes)? if so how?
I'm prototyping some assemblies of parts and want to basically mirror a subassembly on the opposite side (across the right plane which is in the centre). I've mated the parts using reference geometry axes, planes and points - intended to be robust for design changes as I prototype. First up, I tried "Mirror Components" in the assembly to create opposite hand version of the subassembly and its parts in their own files. This method gave no option to transfer across reference geometry - so I'd have to recreate them. If I try use Insert "Mirror Part", it lets us select reference geometry to be included, but doesn't seem to have an "opposite hand version" option. (I'm still on SW2010)
thanks in advance!
