Helllo everyone

I've created a new assembly which I brought in a Solidworks part which is an imported mesh object (OBJ), when I'm working in Assembly environment, all Solidworks component are mormally shown and changing the visual state which I require, the mesh component though it doesn't, neither changing from opaque to transparent, neither can be hidden, not even effected by the section view. Is this how normally a mesh behaves within an Assembly or am I doing something wrong?
