We are looking for a mechanical designer to join our mechanical design group. The ideal candidate is a designer with five years experience in the hydraulic turbine industry. This candidate is a mechanical technologist and possesses excellent drafting skills used to produce machining and fabrication drawings, assemblies, and bill of materials. 

Job Expertise

•     Mechanical Technologist diploma or combination of education & work experience

•     A minimum five years of design experience in a manufacturing environment

•     Proficiency with SolidWorks is mandatory

•     Experience creating detailed mechanical production drawings of forgings, weldments, castings and machined components using Solidworks

•     Experience creating assemblies and bill of materials using Solidworks

•     All candidates must have clear and concise communication skills

•     Experience with the design of rotating equipment would be an asset

•     Excellent analytical thinking and independent judgment

•     Excellent attention to detail & self organization
