We are currently looking for an innovative Mechanical Design Engineer who has strong skills and experience in tool design using Solidworks or other equivalent design tools. This new team member will participate in the planning, design and implementation of all aspects of the tooling and fixtures needed in our high-precision production environment.

Job Qualifications:
- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred;
- At least 7 years of on-the-job experience in mechanical engineering and tooling design;
- Must be a “US person”. A citizen of the United States or a lawful permanent resident alien of the US, (a "Green Card" holder)
- Solidworks CSWP-Surfacing certification or comparable skill level; (for information on this, go to http://www.solidworks.com/sw/support/4479_ENU_HTML.htm)
- The creativity, imagination, and determination to envision and execute novel solutions to diverse engineering challenges; and
- The discipline and follow-through to fully document problem statements, observations, conclusions, calculations and recommendations;
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to independently analyze and achieve problem resolution using standard engineering techniques;
- Proficiency in the following:
- Advanced 3D CAD techniques such as complex surfacing and large patterning;
- Drafting to ANSI standards;
- Investment casting and molding tooling design (molding and casting experience would be a plus);
- Working with tight tolerance requirements and performing tolerance stack-up analyses;
- Standard manufacturing principles such as milling, turning, grinding and EDM;
- Basic project management.
- Competence in the use of Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Experience with lithographic manufacturing techniques is a plus.
- Working with customers and experience with design for manufacturing discipline is helpful.
- Experience with investment casting for aerospace and gas turbines is a plus.
- Tool and Die experience helpful.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with program managers and manufacturing department heads to meet company objectives.
- Update and revise detailed design plans during the execution of a project order and communicate all process changes and revisions as needed.
- As part of the engineering team, assist with maintaining current drawings and orientation information per ISO standards.
- Assist with organizing, scheduling, tracking and progress-reporting on engineering submittals and deliverables.
- Assist with the resolution of any testing and manufacturing issues and problems during the execution of the project order.

Remote work may be available, with occasional site visits required, on a case by case basis.
Salary is negotiable and commensurate with skills and experience.
