Hello Solidworks Community!

My question is about creating new materials in the material library database. 

When creating a material e.g. stainless steel 304 in Solidworks, because physical properties such as moduli and ratios are not absolutes but fall in a range, what is the common consensus for input when creating the new material? Would it be the average value utilised for the different parameters?
