This question is to clear my head.

I have an assembly that was made with a pack n go from a stp file. All files converted to PRT's and ASM's. All files are in one folder with one subfolder.

ASM in top folder, PARTs and sub's in sub-folder right below.

I made the mistake of adding one too many 0's in the prefix of all the parts and subs.

Is it better to rename in the SW assembly with the component renaming toggled on?

Or rename through file explorer.. I worry that the mapping may get screwy if I do the latter.

Essentially fixing all the prefixes from xxx0000123 to xxx000123.

I can't redo the packngo as the assembly has already been modified...

I'm kicking myself because this is exactly what I train other folks not to screw up...

Insight?
