I'm not sure if this is the right subforum but cuz we are running epdm and epdm gives the revisions I'll ask the question here.

How do we set up a decent revisions system for our drawings? Now we can have a drawing with R7 altough the part only have R3.

We would like the drawings to follow the parts revision numbers and get A, B, C... suffix if they are changed when the part is still being approved.

example

Part and drawing are both approved and now we want to add some info to the drawing. (They are both R1 but we would like the part to be R1 and drawing to be R1-A)

We move the drawing to change, check it out, add the info, check it in and approve it again. The drawing gets R2 but we would want it to get R1-B

Now if we change the part it gets R2 and we would want the drawing for the changed part to get R2-A.

I hope you understand what I mean
