My assembly is made of parts mated to each other.

I want to collect some parts into a sub assembly so that I can control the appearance of the collection, instead of each part.

I have explored the menu options for "make assembly from assembly" and "insert assembly here", but they don't cleanly do what I want.

Any suggestions?
