If I check-out an assembly only (no drawings), I get what I need, which is the top assembly, sub- assemblies and the parts used in that assembly. Perfect!

If I then check-out the assembly including drawings, I get all of the above plus every single drawing, assemblies and parts that are used in other assemblies too!! Madness!

So as an example,

I have twenty car designs all using the same seat belt.

If I go to check-out an assembly it opens just that assembly, the sub-assemblies and parts used in the assembly and no other assemblies, drawings or parts.

If I go to check-out the drawing of that assembly, it then wants to open every drawing and assembly with that seat belt in, ie all twenty car's drawings, assemblies and parts!!

All because of this seat belt is a common component.

Why can there not be a tick box that only selects the drawings that are relevant to the assembly?

Is there a way to get around this that I am missing?
