Looking for a way to view a assembly / part file and being able to measure parts and distances in a program other that saving to main file as a E-drawing file. For example I have an assembly or part that I would like to do some measuring in it is save in Solidworks. But our shop floor does not have access to Solidworks. I do not want to save this as a E-drawing file but want to be able to measure that assembly or part in some other way, I would like to use that main Solidwork file if any way that this is possible?

The reason I do not want to save this as a e-drawing file is that we go through a lot of part numbers and want to keep the main assembly / part to what is in Solidworks main program.
