I have been reading through the posts on recommended setupsand computers and I think I am more confused than when I started.Management has approved us to buy a new computer that will be usedprimarily for Solidworks.
Management wants to use Dell, so for now I'm stuck with onlyDell's. It needs to be a 64-bit system and other than that it justneeds to be fast.
I've noticed that the XPS's have the Core i7, is that my bestchoice? The Precision workstations don't offer this yet. Is thisbetter than the Xeon's?
What is the best setup for hard drives and RAID? We work on ourmodels locally but then the files are saved on the server everynight.
We primarliy do mold and pattern design so we use a lot of Split,Indent, and other commands that seem to really push Solidworks.
Any input would be appreciated. In the meantime I'm going to keepreading and see what I can find.SolidworksAdministration
