modeling a 15" tall lifting ring for a marine application.  part was manufactured and tested with no obvious deformation but simulation shows well exceeding uts.  ring is attached to a mass that hangs at 17deg relative to horizontal.  placement of load and angle were taking from measurements from actual part when in use.  if simulation results are close to correct then ring should part which it does not.  the two holes in the lower left are fixed.  force is applied according to graphic.  finest mesh chosen, nonlinear static analysis.
