Hi All,

I have a design table of an assembly which has two mass custom properties - Total Mass and Rotational Mass. Since the rotational mass only takes into account the mass of certain parts in the assembly I need to be able to just take these specific part mass' as a value into my Assembly DT.

I had hoped to create a design table for each of the parts with their total mass and then in my assembly DT linking to their location. Is this correct?

Unfortunately when I go into my part file and set up the cutom property (mass) it updates in the design table but once it is closed I get an error message saying 'failed to update'. In custom properties in Solidworks the mass is correct. Also I am unsure how to get access to my part DT without having to open the part in Solidworks.
