Large Assembly Drawing Performance - SpeedPak's

This may not be the correct location to post this, however, I am suprised on browsing the discussion topics that I've been unable to locate the topic of Large Assembly Drawing performance..  This topic must exist somewhere as I see this has always been an unresolved issue.

Possibly, everyone has grown used to waiting for SolidWorks while it regenerates Drawing Views. I have read posts where other users create work arounds to copy SolidWorks out to Autocad for plant layouts.  I struggle with this solution because of the extra time and potential for errors which results from drawings created from two separate cad systems. We use modern 64bit workstations so pc hardware is not the issue.

I have been submitting my issues to SW and have Help Tickets related to SpeedPaks issued for 2012 Beta in hopes that Speedpaks get more attention which results with a real solution to directly deal with this issue.

My questions:

Does anyone else struggle with extended Drawing save and regeneration times? and,

Have they made this issue known to SolidWorks with requests to make SpeedPaks more useable?

For reference, the following Statistics was taken from one of our Large Assembly's.

19Mb Assembly File,

Total # Components  109000

Parts 93700, Unique Part Documents 230

Sub-Assemblies 16000, Unique Sub-Assemblies 100

Max Depth 6

Resolved Components 48000

Suppressed Components 62000

Any feedback would be appreciated. TJ
