We have a small bent copper part in our design. We'd like to manufacture this small part on a laser cutter. We'd like to manufacture a frame that holds few parts at the same time so that these parts can be cut and bent as a single unit. The parts can afterwards be separated from the frame. How would you approach such a problem? When I try to import a flattened part into a new part SW complains about the flattened state. Is there a good way to convert a sheet metal part to such a flat frame design? Ideally I would like not to break the relations to the original part as I might need to change it later.
