We live in a Design World of OPTIMAL design that can be achieved only in cycle of automatic analysis driven optimization. That is not possible if the geometry does not rebuild automatically. It is a final time, it is a very late time (I have done the same appeal in 2007), that SW revises the scheme of assigning IDs to sketch entities, surface-bodies, solid bodies as well as picked entities of the same type from the graphic window, in a way that allows automatic rebuild of the geometry in maximum possible real-world scenarios, and that includes RECREATION of entity. Recreation of entity occurs not only when we manually delete and recreate an entity again but when it is recreated automatically as an external entity by a third party engine.
What if the ID of deleted entity is made free and it is assigned to the next created entity of the same type (sketch entity, surface-body entity, solid-body entity, pick-up entity of the same type form the graphic window) ? – Will it be worst or better? – Does anyone in SW has tried to do something different than the current IDs scheme that will make possible automatic geometric rebuild in broader real-world scenarios?
