Issues with center marks and crops.

Our company recently transitioned from Autodesk Inventor back to SolidWorks. I personally have over ten years of prior experience with SolidWorks and had been using Inventor for the past eight years. Initially, I was excited to return to SolidWorks, expecting familiar and reliable functionality.

Unfortunately, what I’ve encountered instead is a range of persistent and highly disruptive bugs that simply did not exist in earlier versions of the software. One particularly severe issue: after cropping a single view in a 7-sheet drawing, every center mark across all sheets was instantly deleted.

The proposed workaround? Manually re-sketch each center mark — one at a time — across every affected sheet. Worse yet, attempting to sketch or dimension within the cropped view introduces even more instability. The entire workflow becomes unreliable and counterproductive.

This issue has reportedly existed since at least 2018. It not only undermines the usefulness of cropped views but actively punishes users for relying on built-in features. At that point, why offer the crop function at all?

Will this ever be addressed? Is there a real workaround that doesn’t involve hours of manual rework? More importantly, does Dassault even consider this a priority?

SolidWorks used to be known for its stable drafting environment. What happened?
