I engrave the part number on my sheet metal parts (extruded cut with a sketch containing contains a text such as \\\$PRP:"PARTNUMBER").

But I often encounter issues.

When I need to change my part number (PDM user writing in the Default Configuration via the data card or via the property tab builder set to write in the active configuration), but if SM-FLAT-PATTERN configuration already exists, the PART NUMBER is NOT updated in this configuration.

Currently, it's very annoying if a distracted user forgets to check the SM-FLAT-PATTERN configuration.

How can I force the update ? Solidworks settings ? PDM settings ?

Otherwise, how to link the custom properties from parent configuration "Default" to the child configuration "SM-FLAT-PATTERN" ?
