I have a large SolidWorks assembly (an engine that has thousands of components) that was originally a "JT " file type. I need to isolate a single component (or subassembly) and save it as its own part so that I can edit it. The issue is that the assembly was not made in SolidWorks, so while I can isolate a component and see its location in the design tree, I cannot save it to its own file or find its reference files. I have looked at the instructions for how to edit or save an individual part of an assembly, but those options/buttons don't show up for me.
