i think this is possible, but....

in most of my jobs i would use a glass clamp as attatched in my assemblies. these go on balustrade posts. i then draw my glass as a virtual part, but where each glass clamp is i have to draw a  13mm hole for the pin in the clamp to go through the glass. i have to draw this hole for the glass chaps.

as you can imagine, if i have 1000+ glass clamps, it is a pain to draw each hole!

is it possible to set up the glass clamp so that when i draw my glass the holes automatically get cut in the glass when i exit the sketch and extrude.

i was thinking along the lines of a smart component?

is this at all possible, or is there a better way?

the glass is mainly 10mm thick.
