I have a Gateway T-6836 Laptop with a Centrino Core 2 Due @ 2 GHZ, 4 GB RAM, and the Mobile Intel 965 Chipset for video.

The laptop has Vista home installed on it right now.  So, I will need to upgrade to Vista Ultimate in order to run/test SolidWorks 2009.  Do I spent the \$200+ to upgrade the Vista and use this hardware, or do I put that money to a new laptop?

It doesn't have to be lighting fast, but it does need to work properly and not have any issues because of the hardware.
