I would like to be able to draw a single line in a sketch, create a structural member from that sketch and then use that part as if it were not a weldment at all.  That way, if I later decide I need to change the material, I can enter the feature properties of the structural member and select a different material from the list and have the properties from the new weldment profile dynamically update in an excel BOM. I hope this is clear but I can do what I can to clarify if anyone has questions.  Thanks!
