I have two bodies, and in my drawing i want to fill them with the same solid grey hatch but I want be able to see the line between them. In Solidworks 2020 it would not show the line between them but then when I exported to pdf the lines would show up.

I've tried drawing a line between them, but it disappears when I export to pdf, I've tried different layers, region vs boundary, drawing a sketch around the edges of the body and filling that instead, making sure tangent edges are set to visible, and a few other things but nothing seems to work.
