We keep completed project parts and assemblies in a specific "locked" folder and work in a different "working" folder. On occasion we copy some assemblies back into the working folder for changes. I know this is a PDM issue but we dont have PDM so we make do. The issue I'm having is that even if I copy all parts and assemblies from the "locked" folder into the "working folder", the assembly still references the parts from the "locked folder". Is there a way to prevent an assembly, in fact all solidworks assemblies, from referencing duplicate parts from a specific folder?
