I'm asking because I really don't know.  Is anyone using it as a replacement for Weldments?  How is that going for you?

I know Weldments pretty well, and I know I'll have to learn SS sometime in the future because it is rumored to be the replacement for Weldments.  I just don't know if I want to devote the effort to it sooner rather than later.

And in 2020 they added splines to SS and not Weldments, which is actually something I had been wanting for years...

So please if you are using it, let me know how it's working out, and specifically where are there problems, or what can't you do with it that you can do with Weldments?

(Also, notice I'm posting this under the Weldments category, because there is no SS category.)
