Is it possible to bring individual face colors from Autodesk Inventor into Solidworks via the 3D Interconnect interface? We can get individual face colors to come through via STEP but I can't seem to figure out how to keep face colors through 3D Interconnect. Does anyone have any experience with this? We are trying to define a "paint this surface and not that one" by splitting faces in Inventor and using the 3D Interconnect interface to translate the files. I can't get the face color to stick in the Inventor output. BTW, I've been using Solidworks for total of 7 hours so I apologize if this is a dumb question. Any advice that anyone has would be much appreciated. Thanks. -Brad
I'm trying to mask the yellow face and paint the green faces green:
The circular yellow face the lowest green face is the result of a "Split Face" in Inventor. The colors and the Split Faces are gone after passing through 3D Interconnect into SW.
