I recently ran Solid Works 2011's built-in benchmark tool. I got a 1200 on the IO part of the test. I realize this score is bad. However, is it bad compared to over network drive performances. On my system, the SW is installed on a local HD. However, the MyDocuments folder is mapped to a network drive. Is my score normal for a networked drive? Please note that I'm required by company policy to load and save my work onto a network drive. Is it possible that I configured SW wrong? Is it always strictly a network issue? Thanks.
